Yes, they do.
Dogs will require C5 vaccination which covers Parvovirus, Hepatitis, Distemper, Parainfluenza & Bordetella. Cats will require a minimum F3 vaccinationwhich covers Feline Enteritis, Rhinotracheitis and Calicivirus. . Even though your dogs or cats are vaccinated, either can get kennel cough or cat flu. These are like the human flu and not every strain is covered by the vaccine. Please check with your vet for further details.
It’s not a good idea for you to settle your pet(s) into their room (even though we know you would love to & if we were boarding our pets we would as well). For anxious and worried pets this sometimes means they continue to look for you at that point and it can make some of the anxiety worse. Pick up & drop off time is also our busiest time which means we don’t have spare hands to accompany you. If we allowed everyone to settle their pets in, we would never get our work done. That is why we strongly recommend coming to inspect so you can see where your pet(s) will be staying.
All dogs must be treated for ticks & fleas & we need to know what was used & when. Tick treatment needs to be applied at least 48 hours prior to coming in for it to be effective the day they arrive.
